The project is the headquarters of a medical device listed company in Songshan Lake District, Dongguan. The campus consists of a manufacturing plant, office towers, research, and development center and a residential portion. The buildings are arranged so that the office tower anchors at the North intersection, creating a landmark at the main entrance. The site is organized into smaller parcels via parallel internal streets, allowing for a distinct separation between the various programs. The result is a clear linear connection that is both visual and practical. As a landmark, the 80m tall main office tower consists of an angle sliced through the building form, creating a sculptural play with its surrounding views of the city and lake. To maximize the large floor plate that houses the manufacturing plant, lush gardens and recreational facilities are scattered along the roof. The vast amount of greenery brings life onto the site, providing public space to the users. Consequently, the complex embraces its manufacturing side, whilst providing for commercial and residential needs – it has transformed from an industrial site to a mixed-use one.
